DBT for Adults

We offer virtual DBT Skills Groups for adults twice a year in January and July. Intakes open May 1 and November 1. Please watch this page on those dates for the link to the screening form.

What: 24 week Dialectical Behaviour Therapy Multi-Skills group

When: Tuesday evenings 5:30 - 7:30 pm (PST)

Where: Zoom Healthcare

Who: Adults who are 18+ and residents of BC who meet criteria for Borderline Personality Disorder

Cost: $30 per session

Next Intake Date: November 1, 2025

Intake Process: Please read carefully.

  • Complete Screening Form

  • The screening form will be available on our website when intakes open on May 1st and November 1st of each year, and will close two weeks later.

  • The form will assess eligibility based on the following criteria:

    a) Meet criteria for BPD, although no diagnosis is required

    b) Resident of BC for the entirety of the 6 month program

    c) Under the care of a mental health professional

    d) Ability to pay subsidy of $30 per session

  • One hour Zoom or phone assessment  

  • If eligible, you will receive an informed consent form via email for completion.

  • You will then be scheduled for an one-hour Zoom or phone appointment to review the consent form and complete an assessment to ensure the program aligns with your goals.

  • Due to limited space, not all applicants will be accepted into the group. You will be notified of your status within one month of completing the screening form.

    DBT Graduate Group

    We are currently piloting a 16-week DBT Grad group that starts July 24 - November 6, 2025. Intakes are now open.

    What: 16 week DBT Graduate Group

    When: Thursday evenings 5:00 - 6:30 pm (PST)

    Where: Zoom Healthcare

    Who: Adults who are 18+ and residents of BC who have completed a previous DBT Skills Group

    Cost: $25 per session

    Next Intake Date: June 5, 2025.

  • Complete Screening Form

  • The screening form is now available and will close in two weeks

  • The form will assess eligibility based on the following criteria:

    a) Previous completion of all 4 modules of DBT from BPDBC or elsewhere

    b) Resident of BC and at least 18 years old

    c) Commit to 4 months of group attendance

    d) Ability to pay subsidy of $25 per session

    e) Not engaged in self-injurious or suicidal behaviours for at least 3 months

  • 30 minute Zoom or phone orientation

  • If eligible, you will receive an informed consent form via email for completion.

  • You will then be scheduled for a 30 minute Zoom or phone appointment to review the consent form and complete an orientation to ensure the program aligns with your goals.

  • Due to limited space, not all applicants will be accepted into the group. You will be notified of your status within one month of completing the screening form.

DBT for Adolescents & Caregivers

We piloted a Multi-Family DBT Skills Group for adolescents and caregivers January 2025 and is the next group is currently on hold. Please watch for updates on this page.

What: 26-week Multi-Family DBT Skills Training Group

When: January -July 2025

Where: In-person in Victoria, BC

Who: Adolescents aged 13-17 who are residents of the CRD and struggle with BPD symptoms or emotion dysregulation, with the strongly recommended option for two caregivers to attend.

Cost: Free

Intake Process: Please read carefully.

  • The screening form will be available on our website when intakes open on November 1, 2024, and will close two weeks later.

  • The form will assess eligibility based on the following criteria:

    a) The adolescent and caregiver must be residents of the CRD for the entire duration of the program.

    b) The adolescent is experiencing clinically significant symptoms of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) or severe emotion dysregulation, although no formal diagnosis is required.

    c) The adolescent must be under the care of a registered therapist for the entire duration of the program.

  • One-Hour Zoom or Phone Assessment

  • If eligible, you will receive an informed consent form via email for completion.

  • You will then be scheduled for a one-hour Zoom or phone appointment to review the consent form and an assessment to ensure the program aligns with your goals.

  • Due to limited space, not all applicants will be accepted into the group. You will be notified of your status within one month of completing the screening form.
